As part of a protest against France’s economic connections with Moscow following the invasion of Ukraine, Greenpeace activists on Monday took a wax figure of President Emmanuel Macron from a museum in Paris and set it in front of the Russian embassy.
A police source claims that a man and two women went into the Grevin Museum dressed like employees after entering as tourists.
The campaigners concealed the estimated 40,000 euros worth of wax work as they snuck out through an emergency route.
The activists had called, according to the museum, to guarantee that the monument would be returned “unharmed”.
