ISLAMABAD: The Uzbekistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan (UAP) Railway Line Project is crucial for regional connectivity, according to Acting Foreign Minister of Afghanistan Amir Khan Muttaqi and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar.
The Foreign Office spokeswoman stated in an official statement that FM Dar and his Afghan counterpart agreed to work closely to finalize the framework agreement as soon as possible during their phone call on Sunday.
Dar spoke over the phone with Saidov Bakhtiyor Odilovich, the foreign minister of Uzbekistan, a day ago. They talked about the procedures for expeditiously finalizing the framework agreement for the UAP railway, including the specifics of its signing ceremony after consulting with the Afghan leadership.
