KARACHI: Several areas of the port city experienced an earthquake on Sunday night with a magnitude of 3.6.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department’s (PMD) National Seismic Monitoring Centre, the earthquake’s epicenter was located 10 kilometers below Quaidabad.
The seismic monitoring center also stated that the earthquake occurred in the port city at 5:33 p.m.
Although there were no reports of damage or injuries, the earthquakes caused alarm among the locals.
A 4.7-magnitude earthquake that shook Karachi and the surrounding environs on March 31, 2025, was the most recent to strike the city.
According to the PMD, the earthquake struck around 4:11 p.m. and had a 19-kilometer depth at its epicentre, 75 kilometers north of Karachi.
