DUBAI: In response to a US offer that Tehran considers “unacceptable,” Iranian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Esmaeil Baghaei announced Monday that Iran will shortly provide a counter-proposal for a nuclear deal to the US through Oman.
According to earlier reports from Reuters, Tehran was preparing a counterproposal to the US proposal that was put up in late May. According to an Iranian ambassador, the US offer did not address disagreements over the export of Iran’s whole stockpile of highly enriched uranium, uranium enrichment on Iranian grounds, and measures to remove US sanctions.
“We don’t accept the US proposition. It was not the outcome of earlier rounds of discussions. Once it is finalized, we will send our own proposal to the other party through Oman.
