Citing regional instability and security concerns in the wake of recent escalations in the Middle East, the government of Balochistan blocked all border crossing points with Iran in Panjgur, Gwadar, and Kech on Sunday for an indefinite length of time.
District administrations have officially announced that the Iranian border crossings at Panjgur, Gwadar, and Kech have been closed till further notice.
Authorities in Panjgur affirmed that traffic will continue to be restricted at the Jirak-Prom and Cheedgi crossings.
During this time of increased alert, local officials asked citizens to comply with the police and refrain from needless travel.
