In Gwater Bay, a secluded coastal region between Pakistan and Iran, a 35-foot-long blue whale was discovered dead on Monday. Experts believe the whale may have died after getting entangled in fishing nets.
Ahmad Baloch, a local fisherman, reported seeing the carcass floating close to Kuntani, Balochistan, when he was fishing.
According to a statement released by WWF-Pakistan, the whale may have perished a few days ago in the open waters between Pakistan and Iran and drifted towards the bay due to strong currents and a harsh sea.
