As the week-old air war intensified with no indication of a halt, Israel bombed nuclear targets in Iran on Thursday and Iranian rockets struck an Israeli hospital overnight.
According to an Israeli military official, the military targeted more facilities and hit nuclear complexes in Bushehr, Isfahan, and Natanz on Thursday.
It then stated that the designation of the Bushehr nuclear site attacked was incorrect.
Located on the Gulf coast, Bushehr is Iran’s only nuclear power station in operation. It uses Russian fuel, which Russia then returns when it is used to lower the chance of proliferation.
Israel’s military has acknowledged that it launched airstrikes against Iran’s Arak heavy water nuclear reactor overnight, signaling a major uptick in the two nations’ ongoing war.
