According to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Israel has given guarantees about the security of Russian workers at Iran’s Bushehr nuclear power plant, which was constructed with Russian assistance and has been run cooperatively for more than thirty years.
President Putin stressed the importance of the location and the long-standing collaboration between Moscow and Tehran in the nuclear energy industry while speaking to a group of foreign media. He stated, “Israel has guaranteed us that neither our personnel nor the Russian-built infrastructure at Bushehr will be threatened.”
The remarks follow Israeli airstrikes on several Iranian locations, including the Arak heavy water reactor, which have escalated regional tensions.
