A major disruption that affected consumers all over the world for several hours occurred with Apple’s iCloud services. Among the services affected were Find My, Photos, iWork, iCloud Mail, iCloud Calendar, and iCloud Contacts.
Around 1:18 am IST, the problem started, and Downdetector recorded a sudden increase in user-reported issues, mostly with server connection issues and email issues. Fewer users complained about syncing problems.
On its System Status page, Apple confirmed that “some users were affected” but did not provide information about the extent or seriousness of the outage. According to the company, by 4:30 am IST, all affected services had been fully restored.
