In a tight three-game encounter, the Pakistani duo of Noor Zaman and Nasir Iqbal defeated Syafiq Kamal and Duncan Lee of Malaysia by scores of 10-11, 11-9, and 11-9. The hour-and-eight-minute semifinal was hotly contested.
After overcoming the Korean couple of Jiang Min Ryu and Jaijin Yoo in an exciting 2-1 quarterfinal match, the Pakistani pair moved to the semifinals on Tuesday with a great showing.
With consecutive victories over South Korea and the Philippines in the group, Pakistan, the second seed in the championship, has shown incredible form throughout the competition.
