Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei stated on Wednesday that Iran is prepared to retaliate against any fresh military assault and that Tehran is able to strike its enemies with a more devastating blow than it did during the 12-day Iran-Israel war.
In remarks aired on state television, Khamenei stated, “It is very commendable that our country is prepared to confront the might of the United States and its leash-wielding dog, the Zionist regime [Israel].”
Last month, Israel and the US attacked Iran’s nuclear facilities, claiming the strikes were a part of a campaign to produce nuclear weapons. Tehran insists that its nuclear program is only being used for civilian objectives.
