Sam Nivola objects to being referred to as a “nepo baby.”
The White Lotus actor stated in a recent interview with Variety that he cannot credit his success to his well-known parents, Emily Mortimer and Alessandro Nivola.
Sam told the outlet, “Aside from my genes, I don’t think I can attribute much of my success to my parents.”
“I’m proud of myself for doing it, sometimes despite them,” he continued.
The British actor also told the newspaper that “I didn’t get my dad’s agent to call up so-and-so.” He made his acting debut in the 2022 movie White Noise.
“I worked alone on it. I didn’t want to give anyone a reason to claim that I had accomplished anything.
