Nawaz Sharif, the president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), has promised to allay the worries of Defense Minister Khawaja Asif on the additional arrest of the deputy commissioner of revenue (ADCR).
Details indicate that party leadership is aware of Defense Minister Khawaja Asif’s concerns over the arrest of the ADCR from Sialkot. In a meeting with the previous prime minister, Asif expressed his concerns.
According to sources, Asif emphasized that he had nothing to do with the officer’s personal matters and claimed he was unaware of the additional deputy commissioner revenue’s (ADCR) detention. Additionally, he was upset that a government official had been removed from his constituency without informing him.
Nawaz Sharif responded by promising Khawaja Asif that he will investigate the situation himself.
