Kylie Minogue is scheduled to receive the Brit Awards worldwide icon gong during the presentation in March, following the success of her album Tension in 2023 and the single Padam Padam. On the night, the star who is responsible for some of the most iconic Brits sets ever will also perform.
With a career spanning five decades, the multimillion-selling star—who achieved viral fame with Padam Padam after redefining herself in 2023—is now acknowledged as a “pop phenomenon” and “one of the world’s most successful and iconic music stars.”
Along with Dua Lipa and Raye, who were previously confirmed, Minogue, who is also nominated for international artist of the year, will perform at the ceremony next month.
She is followed by celebrities such as Taylor Swift, David Bowie, and Sir Elton John, who were all crowned icons at the recent Brit Awards.
“I am beyond thrilled to be honoured with the global icon award and to be joining a roll call of such incredible artists,” Minogue said in a press release. “The UK has always been a home from home so the Brits have a very special place in my heart.”
