The daughter-in-law of Mr. Trump One of the people who spoke before Ms. Truss was Lara Trump. The former president is scheduled to address the assembly on Saturday.
This year, National Harbor, Maryland—a little town outside of Washington, DC—hosted the event.
When discussing the White House, Ms. Truss remarked, “Of course we need a Republican back in the White House.”
“It isn’t just America that needs it desperately; we need it desperately right across the free world, because you are the leaders of the free world, like it or not.”
