Following the Pulwama tragedy, in which false narratives and misinformation about the attack were widely shared, a striking contrast occurred between coverage by Indian and Pakistani media outlets.
Despite several efforts, the Indian media spread incorrect and misleading comments in order to prove its version of events. Despite their relentless efforts, the truth about the Pulwama attack could not be ignored and eventually emerged in the public realm.
From the Pulwama incident to the subsequent Indian strikes in Balakot, the Indian media was focused with providing numerous manufactured pieces of evidence to back its narrative. On the contrary, Pakistani media took on the task of gathering information and informing the world about the reality.
While Indian media fanned tensions, circulated disinformation, and promoted unrest in the region, Pakistani media consistently advocated for peace, delivering messages of tranquility.
Indian media continued to mislead its audience with bogus satellite imagery, whilst Pakistani journalists worked relentlessly to uncover the truth in all impacted areas.
International media also played an important part in debunking India’s Pulwama farce by spreading accurate satellite photographs and revealing the truth about the tragedy.
