Ozzy Osbourne is unapologetic about calling out Kanye West for using a Black Sabbath sample without permission on his album Vultures 1.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, the band’s vocalist stated, “Well, nobody else would ***** do it, did they?”
He went on to say, “With the current state of affairs, you don’t need anybody starting people on discrimination of any kind.”
“This is wrong. It’s simply wrong. There’s enough *** aggravation, and he shouldn’t say anything [as controversial as he has],” referring to his previous utterances.
Earlier this month, the prominent artist publicly chastised the Chicago rapper for utilizing Black Sabbath’s Iron Man in his new album.
“He’s an antisemite,” he tweeted. “I WANT NO ASSOCIATION WITH THIS MAN.”
Similarly, Ozzy’s wife, Sharon Osbourne, chastised Kanye for his actions. “We get so many requests for these songs, and when we saw that request, we just said no way.”
She went on, “The simple thing is, we don’t want to be associated with a hater.” It is not acceptable to spread hatred in the manner that he does. All the justifications — he’s bipolar or whatever — won’t change that. It’s like, “**** you.”
