Child Benefit: What Is It?
Money given to parents or guardians who are in charge of raising a kid is known as child benefit.
It is not means-tested and there are no age restrictions for the claimant.
It is reimbursed at two distinct rates:
For your oldest child, £24 per week
£15.90 per week for every additional child
However, if your income above a particular threshold, you may be subject to taxes.
According to the present regulations, you are required to pay the high-income child benefit tax levy if you or your partner get child benefit and your individual income is £50,000 or more.
