University student Hannah, 21, claimed she “didn’t like to tell anyone” about the hate she sometimes encounters.
She claimed that’s “the way she prefers it” that she records her TikTok and Instagram videos in her bedroom.
However, she stated: “When my videos go viral, that’s when trolling is at its worst” .
While at home in South Wales during the lockdown, Hannah began making internet content in 2020 to pass the time. “A lot of people say it doesn’t affect you but I don’t believe that,” she said.
“I love acting and since I couldn’t go because of Covid, I decided to do it at home.”
The motivator behind people’s continued existence
Why can’t the threats and abuse I receive online be stopped?
“TikTok was like a form of entertainment,” she continued, “inside a dark world of online hate.”
Since then, Hannah’s fan base has significantly increased. In addition to creating drawings, dances, and cosmetic looks, Hannah has also performed live on TikTok, sometimes for as long as eight hours at a time.
