Fetterman had trouble processing speech and hearing after his stroke. He now uses an app on his phone that displays the exact words you say to him. The words Fetterman says are then displayed on the app as well. Fetterman is able to participate in discussions and comprehend what is being said around him thanks to the subtitles.
