According to government sources, Starlink’s attempts to introduce satellite internet services in Pakistan have been further hampered by the expiration of its interim registration with the Pakistan Space Activities Regulatory Board (PSARB).
The international satellite internet provider’s application for a license to operate in the nation has been further delayed by the action.
According to sources, on March 21, Starlink registered temporarily with PSARB but failed to obtain permanent registration, a requirement required by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) before an operating license could be issued.
According to a government source, “Starlink has not yet met the requirements for permanent approval, and the temporary registration expired in June.”
