Joe Root of England has reclaimed the top spot from fellow countryman Harry Brook in the most recent Test player rankings released by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
Kane Williamson of New Zealand took second place, while Harry Brook dropped two spots to third. Steve Smith of Australia is ranked fourth. The list of the top 10 Test batsmen does not include any Pakistani batsmen.
Jasprit Bumrah of India continues to lead the Test bowlers’ rankings, with Kagiso Rabada in second place, Pat Cummins in third, and Josh Hazlewood in fourth.
Nauman Ali, a spinner for Pakistan, is ranked sixth among the best Test bowlers.
