Following a notice from the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB), which sets term limits for office-bearers in accordance with the national sports policy, a number of officials from national sports federations have promised to step down.
The Baseball Federation’s president and treasurer have promised the PSB that they want to resign, according to sources. The president and secretary of the Judo Federation, as well as the chairman of the Taekwondo Federation, are also willing to step down. It is also anticipated that the general secretary of the Karate and Sailing Federations will step down.
No one may serve more than two terms in office, per the national sports policy. Within thirty days, all officials are expected to adhere to the policy.
