The 28-year-old Everton midfielder has been out with hip and groin ailments since his last game in February 2023.
In a tearful July interview, he discussed his upbringing, his struggles with mental illness, and his time in treatment.
“World Cup 2026 is a reminder that I have on my phone every single day at 11 o’clock,” Dele said to Sports.
“It’s my goal, but people will say things like, ‘He hasn’t played in a year.'” I am aware of where I stand.”
After signing a contract in February 2022, Dele is committed to Everton till the end of the current campaign. By the end of the current campaign, he intends to resume full training.
