In the contentious tweets case, the Islamabad Central Court has granted interim release to former minister Azam Swati until June 11.
The PTI leader’s attorneys, Ali Sohail Khan and Murtaza Turi, made an appearance.
Nevertheless, special judge Humayun Dilawar’s leave prevented Swati’s bail request from being considered.
Subsequently, Azam Swati’s provisional bail was prolonged until June 11.
During his short interview with reporters on the grounds of the Judicial Complex, Swati emphasized the primacy of the constitution and law, saying that the nation could not run smoothly unless judges and generals upheld the rule of law.
Azam Swati’s temporary bail in the contentious tweet case has been extended.
