The Labour prime minister criticized the state of the economy left by the Conservative government that came before him in a piece that he wrote for The Guardian.
“Like a Downing Street party, they’ve left this government to clean up a mountain of mess,” Sir Keir remarked.
They will be remembered in history as the administration that meddled while the nation burned because they were arrogant, careless, and irresponsible to the very end. They enjoyed themselves and made money from the pandemic.
“While millions of people were forced into greater insecurity, they frantically worked to further their personal interests.
Additionally, seats in the House of Lords were awarded to those who contributed to the economic collapse.
“The chaos and self-service that became the norm under the Conservatives will never happen again under my watch,” he continued.
I’ve already begun to make the difficult choices that are required to clear the clutter and put us back on course. That will take time to occur.
“Improving people’s lives over time requires a lot more work and patience than attention-grabbing stunts.
