July 21 marks the end of the Hajj operation, which commenced on May 9.
According to a national airline spokeswoman, PIA’s pre-Hajj operation began on May 9 and ran through June 11, while its post-Hajj operation began on June 20 and ran through July 21.
34,663 pilgrims returned after fulfilling their obligation, and 143 flights were performed in the post-operation, 61 flights for Jeddah, and 82 flights for Madinah, according to statistics.
According to the PIA spokeswoman, “19,278 government pilgrims, 14,754 private pilgrims, and 631 pilgrims performed Hajj.”
According to the PIA, “the city check-in that was set up for the pilgrims helped passengers to avoid the airport hours before.”
