ISLAMABAD: The city administration in the Islamabad Capital Territory has banned the sale, purchase, and use of honking toy horns in the federal capital for the next ten days as the country gets ready to celebrate Independence Day on August 14.
Usman Ashraf, the Additional District Magistrate for Islamabad, announced on Sunday that the ban is effective immediately and will stay in place for ten days.
It went on to say that Section 144 had been used to enforce the restriction because local vendors are selling patriotic merchandise, such as flags and badges, at roadside stands leading up to Independence Day.
The stock, sale, purchase, and use of horns and whistles in Islamabad are thus prohibited by the Additional District Magistrate, Islamabad, as they are liable to cause disturbance to the public.
