The authorities are required to produce a comprehensive report on Dr. Aafia Siddiqui’s transfer to US officials by the Islamabad High Court.
Justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq Khan heard the case.
Dr. Siddiqui’s sister, Fowzia Siddiqui, told the court during her video connection appearance that the Pakistani government holds the key to her return.
She said that the problem should be settled under the Biden administration since waiting until the next US president takes office could make things more complicated.
Smith, Dr. Siddiqui’s attorney, has filed an affidavit with the court. The authorities have now been ordered by the court to provide a thorough report on the events leading up to Dr. Aafia’s extradition to the US.
