July saw President Biden withdraw from the presidential race following weeks of criticism over his age and health, most notably following a dismal debate performance against Donald Trump.
As his vice president, Ms. Harris has supported Mr. Biden up until that point, stating that it has been a “honour” to work in his government.
She told news that she believed the American people deserved a president with his level of intelligence, dedication, discernment, and demeanor.
The former president, however, is devoid of all of that.
Mr. Trump, who had earlier declared he was looking forward to debate her and “exposing her for the fraud she is,” seemed to react to the interview by posting “BORING!!!” on his platform Truth Social.
Ms. Harris disclosed that she was about to work on a puzzle with her young nieces when Mr. Biden called in her first interview with the media following her announcement as the Democratic nominee.
‘Are you sure?’ I questioned Joe Biden when his phone called and he informed me of his decision. She added that when he replied “yes,” that’s how I found out about it.
