In the Men’s Discus Throw F37 event on Friday, Pakistani para-athlete Haider Ali secured a bronze medal with a throw of 52.54 meters on his sixth and final try.
In addition to being his best throw of the season, Ali’s 52.54-meter throw earned him his fourth Paralympic medal.
In his first effort at the throw, Ali was able to throw 52.28 meters, but he missed his next four attempts.
With a throw of 53.48 meters on his fourth try and 56.03 meters on his fifth, Tolibboy Yuldashev of Uzbekistan took first place.
In his sixth attempt at the event, he managed a throw of 57.28 meters to complete his gold medal.
