According to footage shown at Teesside Crown Court, Amanda Walton, 51, was seen hurling a missile, breaking a car wing mirror, and searching through a trash can.
The prosecutor, Rachel Masters, stated that 24-year-old Megan Davison was observed bouncing up and down on a car’s top, helping to break windows, pointing a finger at a police officer, and leaving a store while “concealing items.”
The court heard that Walton took her chow chow to the 4 August march, and footage showed both women occasionally holding the animal’s lead.
In a prior hearing, the two acknowledged having violent behavior, and Walton was sentenced to death.
Jake Wray, Davison’s companion, admitted to the same crime and is currently awaiting sentencing. At a crossroads, he stopped cars and asked the drivers if they were “white” or “English.” Next Monday, he will be sentenced.
The court heard that on August 4, 250 incidents involving property damage or vandalism of public structures were under investigation by the police.
In defense of Davison, Jon Harley said that she had taken drugs and alcohol the previous evening after a breakup and that she was still drunk during the march.
