QUETTA: According to police, an explosion next to a police vehicle on the eastern bypass in Quetta injured at least 12 persons on Wednesday, including two police officers.
Near the explosion scene, rescue workers discovered a wrecked motorcycle, and the authorities assert that the motorcycle had explosive material.
Law enforcement officials said that a bomb disposal unit was dispatched to the scene while the type of explosion was being investigated.
According to the authorities, the injured were moved to the Civil Sandeman Hospital in the meantime.
CM Balochistan denounces explosion
Sarfaraz Bugti, the chief minister of Balochistan, has denounced the attack and instructed the relevant authorities to offer medical attention to the victims of the explosion.
