The Russian Football Union (RFU) informed on Tuesday that Russia has finally canceled the planned friendly football match against Pakistan.
The match was canceled by the union, citing scheduling restrictions and uncertainty regarding Pakistan’s team makeup.
The match between England and Pakistan, which was supposed to take place on October 11, has been postponed, according to a statement from the RFU’s communication office.
According to the statement, “The RFU decided not to hold the game based on the time frame of the training camp that had begun, but it continued to discuss with Pakistan the possibility of a friendly match.”
This evolution came after a convoluted chain of events.
