Pakistan’s Foreign Office announced in a statement on Tuesday that it and India had extended their agreement for another five years to facilitate pilgrims’ visits to Gurudwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur, Narowal.

Initially signed on October 24, 2019, for a five-year period, the Agreement will expire on October 24, 2024. The statement continued, “Its renewal demonstrates Pakistan’s unwavering dedication to promoting interfaith harmony and peaceful coexistence.”

According to the deal, pilgrims from India can still enter the holy site of Gurudwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur, where Baba Guru Nanak, the renowned founder of Sikhism, spent his last days, without a visa.

The corridor has made it easier for thousands of worshippers to travel to this location since it was opened.
