On Wednesday, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi charged that Israel was impeding humanitarian relief supplies from Gaza through actions that prevent people from moving.
This is an attempt to exert pressure on the people of Gaza Strip regarding the hostage situation and the fighting. “They are using this as a tool of pressure on the people of the Strip,” Sisi declared to a group of state and military leaders.
“In the past, we sent 600 trucks a day to Gaza. However, we haven’t supplied more than 200–200 trucks (of help) every day for the last two to three days. “How are these people living here in Gaza?” he asked.
“The Rafah crossing into Egypt is open 24 hours a day, every day of the month. The reason [for holdups] is the processes that are happening on the Israeli side to allow us to send in the aid without anyone blocking it.”
