Former cast member and Oscar contender Bill Murray has indicated interest in hosting Saturday Night Live again as the show marks its historic 50th season.
Murray defended the show against claims that it has lost its edge while expressing his appreciation for the current cast and creative team on the New Heights podcast.
“People always give me a hard time about, ‘Oh, the original show was so great, and it’s lousy now,'” Murray told Deadline. “No, it’s not,” I respond. The current exhibition consistently produces work that is on par with everything that has ever been done.
