RAWALPINDI: According to sources cited by news on Thursday, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) negotiation committee has been given permission to meet with its imprisoned founder, Imran Khan, at Adiala jail. The committee is scheduled to brief him on the first round of talks with the government at the facility today (Thursday).

Khan will be briefed on Monday’s first round of negotiations by the PTI negotiators, who will also confer with him over future tactics. According to the insiders, the meeting is scheduled to begin at 2:00 PM.

Senator Irfan Siddiqui, a member of the government’s negotiation panel, revealed on Tuesday that the PTI’s team’s request to consult Khan had been allowed.

After months of intense political tensions, the eagerly awaited negotiation process finally got underway in Islamabad earlier this week.
