Reza Amiri Moghadam, the Iranian ambassador to Pakistan, has been placed on the FBI’s “most wanted” list in the United States due to his suspected involvement in the kidnapping, imprisonment, and likely death of former FBI special agent Robert A. Levinson as well as his purported attempts to conceal his involvement.
According to the FBI, Moghadam is a representative of Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security, and the US has requested information on him.
Levinson, a private investigator who retired from the FBI in 1998, visited Iran’s Kish Island on March 8, 2007, according to the FBI, and hasn’t been seen or heard from since he vanished the next day.
Photographs and a video were acquired between 2010 and 2011.
