KARACHI: Rescue workers said that a big water tanker went over two people’s motorcycles on Shaheed-e-Millat road in Karachi on Friday, killing at least two of them and injuring another.
The water tanker, whose driver fled the scene after the accident, caught fire as it collided with the flyover’s wall after striking the victims, according to a rescue officer who described the sad scenario. Firefighters later put out the flames.
According to the police, a car struck the motorcycle riders, then a tanker approaching from behind collided with the motorcycles.
A firefighter is attempting to extinguish the flames in the involved truck.
