Unexpectedly, the Critics Choice Awards announced that they would once again be postponed.
After the Palisades Fire grew out of control on January 7, the annual awards presentation, which was initially scheduled for January 12, was moved to January 26, 2025.
According to Variety, the performance has now been rescheduled for February; the precise date has not yet been determined.
Additionally, comedian Chelsea Handler will continue to present the annual award event, which was scheduled to take place in Santa Monica’s Barker Hangar.
The postponement of the Critics Choice Awards follows the flames that have ravaged large parts of Los Angeles, killing 25 people so far.
