A photo of King Charles interacting with volunteers and veterans at the Gordon Highlanders Museum was posted by the royal family on Monday.
Additionally, he met Jim Glennie, a 99-year-old D-Day veteran, whose image at the museum is by Carl Randall.
The queen reportedly spotted Captain Alexander Manson’s kilt after he was injured during the Battle of the Somme in 1916. According to the statement, “The kilt still has traces of mud from the battlefield, which is remarkable.”
According to the palace’s photos, the king was dressed in a kilt, something his son Prince William has never been comfortable wearing.
