Elon Musk’s one-armed gesture during a speech commemorating Donald Trump’s inauguration has sparked anger.
Musk praised the audience for “making it happen” before putting his right palm over his heart and launching it into the air directly in front of him. Then he turned and did it again for the people seated behind him.
Numerous users on his social media platform, X, have compared the motion to the Nazi salute.
Musk responded by writing on X: “To be honest, they need better nasty techniques. I’m so sick of the ‘everyone is Hitler’ attack.
The gesture was done by Musk, the richest man in the world and a strong ally of President Trump, while he was giving a speech at the Capital One Arena in Washington, DC.
