NA permits female employees to leave for their homes before sunset.

On days when assembly meetings last until sunset, female employees of the National Assembly Secretariat are permitted to depart for their homes before nightfall, according to a Friday story in The News.

After granting permission, NA Speaker Ayaz Sadiq declared that it was everyone’s duty to defend women’s rights. He emphasized the necessity of taking all necessary measures to give women a balance between their personal and professional obligations.

MNA The Women Parliamentary Caucus secretary general, Dr. Shahida Rahman, praised the speaker’s initiative and stated that the parliament was dedicated to defending the rights of women. According to her, this choice will help women balance their personal and professional lives.

The Parliamentary Caucus on Child Rights’ convener, MNA Nighat Shakeel, stated that this action would improve child rearing.
