ISLAMABAD A senior source at the Foreign Office revealed Tuesday that Pakistan has chosen to remove the families of its diplomats and other non-essential employees stationed in Iran amid increased regional tensions following the Iran-Israel war.
According to the FO official’s statement, certain members of non-essential diplomatic personnel are also being recalled, and the families are being moved as a precaution.
The official stressed that Pakistan’s diplomatic missions in Iran are still fully operational and that the country’s consulates and the Pakistani Embassy in Tehran will continue to function as usual.
