Concerns and caution have been raised by UK specialists regarding the fast-growing usage of the Chinese artificial intelligence platform DeepSeek. They said that the Chinese government might misuse users’ data and information and raised worries about it disseminating false information.
Although the British government has stated that it is up to the people whether or not they wish to employ the new AI, officials are keeping an eye on any data from DeepSeek that could endanger national security and have stated that they would take appropriate action if any risks materialize, according to The Guardian.
It would not be irrational to presume that information shared with the chatbot would not be shared with the government, according to Michael Woolridge, a professor of the foundations of AI at the University of Oxford.
