A negotiated settlement between Russia and Ukraine is unlikely to satisfy either party, according to U.S. Vice President JD Vance, who also stated that any peace agreement will probably leave Kyiv and Moscow “unhappy.”
According to him, the US wants a settlement that both nations can agree to.
“No one will be extremely delighted about it. On Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo, he stated, “It’s likely that both the Russians and the Ukrainians will be unhappy with it in the end.”
On Friday, US President Donald Trump announced that he will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska on August 15 to discuss a settlement to the conflict in Ukraine.
Trump said that a ceasefire agreement between Russia and Ukraine was imminent.
