Sportico announced its list of the 100 highest-paid athletes in the world on Wednesday, and not a single woman made the cut.
With $30.4 million, US tennis player Coco Gauff was the highest-paid female athlete in 2024, but she fell more than $7 million short of the $37.5 million threshold needed to be in the top 100.
With $260 million in revenues, including $215 million from his Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr and $45 million off the field, soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo is at the top of the global rankings for the second consecutive year.
Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors is much behind him at $153.8 million, while boxer Tyson Fury ($147 million), Lionel Messi ($135 million), and LeBron James ($133.2 million) of the Los Angeles Lakers round out the list.
