Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, the chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), declared on Friday that Pakistanis will unite and respond forcefully to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s aggression on the Indus River, just as the PPP forbade a contentious canal project without consensus.
He strongly warned New Delhi that “The Indus is ours and will remain ours — either our water will flow through it, or their blood.” He denounced India’s unilateral move to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty (IWT).
Speaking at a public event in Sukkur, he complimented the populace and stated that the federal government had made the decision based on the peaceful struggle’s success.
