ISLAMABAD The US Embassy in Islamabad announced Tuesday that the US has reiterated its commitment to combating terrorism in all of its manifestations during a counterterrorism dialogue with Pakistan.
The discussion was held the day after the US State Department designated Majeed Brigade and the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) as foreign terrorist organizations in response to a series of fatal attacks that the group claimed responsibility for.
Acting Coordinator for Counterterrorism Gregory LoGerfo and Chargé d’Affaires Natalie Baker participated in the US-Pakistan Counterterrorism Dialogue, the embassy stated in a statement.
The interaction was intended to strengthen the two nations’ common determination to counter what it called a “global threat,” the statement said. Washington “remains committed” to this collaboration, the embassy emphasized.
